Features represent software in the form of applications or services. The product includes a large number of open source features. Some features can be installed in multiple ways and so are listed multiple times with corresponding iconography representing its installation mode. A feature references a particular version of the software, the installation mode, and how it is to be configured. Some features are “custom” meaning that they are placeholders for features that have not been added yet to the product. The “custom” feature is a white-boarding tool used to represent a feature that will be developed in the future.
Features can be installed in various ways including as a Replica Set, a Daemon Set, a Container, or Native. Feature can be configured by clicking on them once they are dragged onto the canvas and accessing the Feature's Properties Panel.
