Daemon Set

A Daemon Set is a collection of features that are part of a Micro Cloud. The Daemon Set features are features that run on every node in the Node Group. The features in the Daemon Set can communicate with other features that are either Native or that are part of a Replica Set.

  • A typical example of a Daemon Set feature is "mqtt" where the feature collects data from device connectors and so operates locally on each node, but then forwards the data into the Micro Cloud into a database like "elasticSearch" so that analytics can operate across an event horizon spanning many node.
