Node Groups

Node Groups represent a set of computer nodes that play the same role in an edge computing network. Some people refer to a Node Group as a “tier” or a “layer” of the edge computing network. The computers in a Node Group have the same hardware configuration and have the same set of software features installed on them. They are connected to the same IoT device types (sensors and actuators). A multi-tier network will have multiple Node Groups - one representing each tier in the network.
