The Management Studio is an application for monitoring, alerting, maintaining and healing the Edge computer network. The Management Studio is powered by Prometheus & Grafana. There is a Management Studio created for every deployment of every architecture. There is a link created and posted in the Deployment Listing for each Deployment.
The components of the Management Studio are described below:
- Prometheus
- Prometheus contains both a client and a server
- Prometheus client
- a component that runs on every node called a Node-exporter. It collects metrics and status information from the node and forwards it to a server component running in the Micro Cloud.
- Prometheus Server
- The server collects data from all the nodes and stores them in a database in the Micro Cloud
- Prometheus contains both a client and a server
- Grafana
- Grafana is used for dashboards. It visualizes the data in the Prometheus database. There are several dashboards supported described below.
- Dashboards
- Status dashboard
- Shows high level status of the edge compute nodes
- Metrics dashboard
- Shows the detailed metrics of the edge node including CPU, Memory, etc.
- Micro Cloud dashboard
- Shows the status of the Micro Cloud
