We have provided you with a folder(s) with Reference Architectures. The purpose of these architectures is to let you start developing a new architecture from a proven starting point. When you want to create a new architecture, you can speed up your development process by selecting a reference architecture and duplicating it and moving into your own folder. From there you can make modifications to add, delete, reconfigure the architecture.

All Reference Architectures are located within the folders that start with "Reference Architecture". Follow these steps to make use of a reference architecture:

  • Duplicate the Reference Architecture
    • If a user wishes to make a copy of a Reference Architecture they can do so by first navigating to a folder with the prefix Reference Architecture.
    • From here, the user should then left click on the three dogs to the far right side of the architecture item's row. When the menu appears, please select, "Duplicate Architecture" and fill in the details about the architecture (Name, Creator, etc.).
    • Once the user fills in all the required fields please click, "Save As". This will navigate the user to the architecture design canvas. From here, the user can change the architecture or not by adding new features, updating attributes, etc. After making changes, it is important to click "Save" in the top right corner in order to save the architecture's properties.
    • Next, click on the Back arrow in the top left corner of the screen. This will navigate you back to the architecture listing screen. You will notice that the new copy of the architecture is now listed in the architecture listing.

  • Move the Architecture to a Folder of your choice
    • In order to Move this architecture to a folder of your choosing, you must now select the three vertical dots and click, "Move Architecture". Doing so will now prompt you with a dialog screen that requires you to select a folder to move the architecture to.
    • Once you've selected the desired folder destination, just click "Move".
    • From here, you will notice that the copied architecture has now been removed from the current folder listing and will be present in the folder you have just selected.

It is important to note that this functionality will work for ALL architectures and not just Reference Architectures.
